ETA Canada application for Swedish citizens
To obtain a Canada tourist visa from Sweden, travelers will need to complete an online application. The application should take about 30 minutes or less to complete and can be done from the comfort of your own home.
The application will ask basic details about the traveler as well as his or her travel plans. You will need to include information about yourself (such as your full name and date of birth), your contact details (address, email), employment history, and travel itinerary.
After the application is complete, you will need to pay an eTA fee and wait for a response. We recommend applying for your Canadian eTA at least 72 hours (3 days) in advance so that there is enough time to process it.
Once your visa from Canada for Sweden is granted, it is electronically to your passport.
Your Canadian eTA is valid for five years or until your passport expires (whichever comes first). That means that you do not have to constantly reapply for the Canadian eTA, even if you plan to visit Canada multiple times within a span of five years. However, please note that the Canadian eTA can be used for multiple entries as long as they are under 90 days in duration. If you plan to visit Canada for a duration of more than 90 days, you will need to apply for a different visa.Apply for an eTA
