The eTA is electronically linked to the Bulgarian visitors´ passports and is not transferrable to a new travel document. This means that if any passport an approved eTA expires before 5 years, then their travel authorisation expires as well.

Bulgarians who confirm they meet the requirements can begin the online application process for the Canadian eTA. The application form is a simple questionnaire that takes less than 30 minutes to complete. Bulgarian requesters will have to share the following personal information:

- Country of birth
- City of birth
- Marital status
- Current residence
- Email address

Canadian eTA for Bulgaria: Processing time

Canadian eTA extension for Bulgarian citizens
Bulgarian visitors who need to prolong their stay for a longer period than initially planned can request an extension for the Canadian eTA.
